The Return of CATS e local amateur theatrical societies in the area have always been a great source of community and entertainment but all took a big hit when the COVID- 19 restrictions took place. A er a lengthy period with being unable to perform the Copythorne Amateur eatrical Society (CATS) is nally set to return with rehearsals currently underway for a January Panto production of King Arthur. It has been a period of big changes for the group with old members leaving and the arrival of new faces keen to ‘tread the boards’. Sunday 16th January 2022 at 2pm, Saturday 22nd January matinee at 2pm and and evening performance at 7.30pm at the Copythorne Parish Hall, Pollards Moor Road, Copythorne, SO40 2HP. It will have been a full 2 years since their previous Panto – e Wizard of Oz was performed as their Spring Show was stopped due to lockdown. The shows will take place on Saturday 15th January 2022 at 7.30pm, A er over 40 years of meeting as an evening W.I, Waterside members have now started meeting as an a ernoon WI. Meeting in Dibden Community Centre, in Jones Lane car park, they meet at 1.30pm for 2 hours on the second Tuesday in the month . With a reduced membership this group of WI friends intend to meet for friendship, to listen to interesting speakers and to practice new cra s. ey very much look forward to meeting new members with similar interests.
