Supporting local small-scale cottage businesses, organisers, Richard ropp, Steve (Frame Shop) along with Chris and Adrian Par tt are passionate about community. With free mince pies and warm drinks kindly provided by Hythe & Co-organiser Richard Thropp getting festive in Marsh Parade (Photo: Kiki Officer Photography) District Club, together with entertainment from a 12-piece brass band, and festive vocals from the popular Women’s Choir ‘The Melody Makers’, Marsh Parade really was the place to be! Donations and proceeds from the event in Marsh Parade raised a wonderful £278 in aid of Prostate Cancer UK and Look Good, Feel Better (cancer support charity). HYTHE HUDDLE CHRISTMAS PARTY On 1st December 2021 Families Matter held the Hythe Huddle Christmas party for people with dementia and their carers, at Cornerstone URC church in Hythe. It was a wonderful occasion and everyone had a Christmas present from Santa. Sta gave them a delicious Christmas tea, and the choir from Hythe Primary School kindly sung carols for them. It was a special time for everyone. If you or someone in your family is su ering with dementia, and would like to go along to their friendly group, please get in touch. eir next meeting will be ‘Folk Active’, a folk music and dancing session on Wednesday 2nd February at 2pm .
