At the start of the pandemic in March 2020, the Waterside Cancer Support Centre had to temporarily close and the team worked hard to develop its services so they could remotely support local people a ected by cancer. Almost two years on and COVID-19 continues to in uence our daily lives. e team at the Centre knows it’s still an anxious time for many but we’re striving to o er as much support as possible, as safely as possible. Whether your loss is recent, months or even years ago, and you don’t need to have lost your loved one at Oakhaven, you can nd support. ere are Bereavement Co ee Mornings which take place on the 1st Wednesday of the month between 10am until 12noon, at the Coates Centre, located in the grounds of Oakhaven Hospice, Lower Pennington Lane, Lymington SO41 8ZZ, and also Bereavement Teas, on the 3rd Wednesday of the month between 1.30pm and 3.30pm. eir bereavement volunteers will welcome you and make you a cuppa. You can meet others who understand what you are going through, and nd information and advice to help you cope, from one- to-one support, group support, wellbeing sessions and in time when you are ready more social activities.
