Forest Forge Theatre Company is celebrating 2022 with an amazing 40 years of delighting audiences in and around the New Forest. The company originally formed by Artistic Director Karl Hibbert in 1981, is the New Forest’s very own established self -producing touring company. With its own theatre and creation space in Ringwood it has become an import part of the culture of local community. Sharon Lawless CEO and Creative Producer said: “We are delighted to be kicking off our 40 years celebrations with a full programme of work for the local communities of the New Forest. Technically last year was our 40th but everyone is celebrating their big birthdays a year later now that we can! I am so excited at our offer, there’s lots to get involved with for all ages”. 2022 kicked o with a bang with the family Christmas show JACK AND THE BEANSTALK continuing its tour to village halls during January, in collaboration with Bumble y (Dom Phillips) eatre and Mischievous lled sessions started back on 27th January from 8pn to 9pm and is £5 pay as you go. And nally looking forward to 2nd-5th March they have their rst Youth eatre show of the year - Every Brilliant Thing by Duncan Macmillan. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face as well as pulling on the heart strings, their talented cast of 16-18 year olds tell the story of one person’s determination to nd joy in life against all the odds. As you can see, lots going on from live theatre sessions to watercolour to ball games! Go along and have a go… who knows what possibilities it will open up! Adult Improvisation Workshops start on Tuesday 8th March , 7.30pm to 9pm, led by their resident Associate Company ‘ e Improvised Play Company’ founded by Pete Courtney. No experience needed, just imagination and a willingness to have fun. e workshops are bookable in 5-week blocks, costing £45.
