Together, they will share lm and photographs from their own collections, giving the audience a fascinating insight into this largely uncelebrated part of the British Railway network. A life-long railway enthusiast, Lord Montagu’s ancestral home of Beaulieu is just a stone’s throw from the Totton to Fawley branch line. e lm show will start with the building of the line in the 1920s, before charting its heyday handling oil tra c for the Fawley Esso re nery, through to the nal oil-carrying trains of 2016. Terry is bringing some climbing roses to grow up the Rose arch. It adds height to the garden and should look nice when the roses are in ower.
