On the first Friday of the month , there is a fun ‘Arts & Crafts’ session. No experience is necessary, and participants are shown a ‘have-a-go’ cra each month. ere is a charge of £3.00 per person, which includes all materials, instruction and tea/co ee with biscuits. If you fancy giving it a try, go along for a free rst session. e next session will be on Friday 1st April when they will be making Easter Decorations. On the third Friday of the month , Greenbuttercup CIC holds a themed ‘Reminiscence Activity’ session. ere is a di erent theme each month - with related games, activities and talks. ere is a charge of £3 per person, which includes all activities and light refreshments. Upcoming sessions are: Friday 18th March (TV Gameshows) and Friday 22nd April (Railways). Please note that the session in April is on the fourth Friday, to avoid Good Friday, which this year falls on their usual day . In April, subject to the weather, they will be following a short Railway Trail (designed by ‘ ree Rivers’) before hearing from Lucy Lomax, who will talk about making train travel easier for people with Dementia. ere will be an alternative activity to the Trail for anyone unable to walk far. Looking ahead, the Alzheimer Society’s ‘ Dementia Action Week’ falls on 16th–22nd May this year. On Friday 20th May , Greenbuttercup CIC will be hosting a special ‘Coronation-themed’ open session. ere will be a small exhibition of pictures of the Queen on her visits to Romsey, along with some Coronation memorabilia to look at. Visitors will be able to help make some red, white, and blue bunting and enjoy a celebration cream tea. Anyone who is interested in nding out who they are, and what they do, is most welcome to go along. All sessions are held in the Green Room at the Plaza eatre, which is a fully-accessible venue, with parking available. Greenbuttercup CIC will continue to observe some Covid- secure practices to ensure the safety of their members. is means that numbers will remain restricted and it is, therefore, important that anyone wishing to attend any of these events, books a place.
