Marley is lovely chap isMarley, he’s a sta y cross. Sadly, he was abandoned by his previous owners and was taken in by a loving foster home in Southampton seven weeks ago where he remains until a special home can be found for him. Marley loves his foster family which includes teenage children. He is happiest when snuggled in having cuddles, Marley is very loving and a ectionate and likes the calm life. He likes people with him and does suffer from separation anxiety if le alone but is not destructive, therefore Marley would suit a home where his family can be with him most of the time. We think Marley has had a di cult life, he is anxious of other dogs and does pull on the leash so he needs to be the only dog in his home. A perfect home for Marley would be a place where he can just relax in the comfort of his home and garden with his owners around. He would make a wonderful companion for a retired family. Marley is 12 years young. OUT & ABOUT WITH THE RSPB Cheech and Chong These two gorgeous brothers are Cheech and Chong, they are 4 years old. Due to a change of circumstances, we are helping their owner rehome them. ey are very loved family dogs and have been well cared for so we are seeking a loving home where they can remain together as they are very close. They live with two children aged 6 and 14 who they are very gentle with and have been well- socialised around other children with no issues at all. ey are also very good around cats having lived with one. ey are very friendly, a ectionate dogs who are respectful in their home, toilet trained and know some basic commands. ey are calm dogs who love the quiet life and being with their family. Neither Cheech or Chong have done anything wrong at all. ey are both nervous of loud noises like fireworks, Chong was recently attacked whilst out walking which has made him nervous of other dogs which he is usually ne with. Both dogs are very well behaved around other animals and wildlife though. Please note the owner had a DNA test to establish their breed mix which was Shar Pei x Labrador x German Pointer. ey are large dogs standing at about 70cm. ey are neutered and fully vaccinated as well. Participants are invited to join this day of fun, mud and cheers with their canine companions run by animal rescue charity, Battersea. e Muddy Dog Challenge is an outdoor obstacle course you can take part in with your dog. e aim of the challenge is simply to have fun while raising money for Battersea and the important work it does for dogs and cats. Participants can enter solo, in a team with the kids, with or without a dog, and there is a distance of 2.5km or 5km to choose from. Participants can decide to run or walk the obstacle course – both options will be as equally fun (and muddy). e event will take place in the stunning surroundings of Breamore House, an Elizabethan manor that overlooks the Avon Valley and just a stone’s throw from the edge of the New Forest. Each Muddy Dog Challenge participant is encouraged to raise a target of £100 for Battersea so they can continue helping dogs and cats in the UK and overseas. All registered participants will receive a Muddy Dog Challenge t-shirt and dog bandana to take part in, and a medal and rosette for crossing the nish line.
