News from the Parish of Fawley My name is Alison Bennett, and I moved from Basingstoke to Fawley with my husband Stephen and our cat Pickle in October, to take up the post of Priest- in-Charge of Fawley Parish, which includes the churches of All Saints, St Francis, and the Good Shepherd. Our current service pattern is as follows, and all would receive a warm welcome: 1st Sunday 10am Café Lite at the Church of the Good Shepherd. Alison Bennett, Priest-in-Charge of Fawley Parish TABLE TOP SALES Every 2 weeks on a Tuesday morning from 9.30am to 12noon there’s a great Table Top Sale at Cornerstone Hythe URC in New Road. ere is always a great selection of Electricals, Jewellery, Collectables, Kitchenware, Glassware, Bags, Toys, Puzzles, Bric- a-brac and an extensive library of Paperback Books, CDs, and DVDs. All proceeds go to the Cornerstone Outreach Fund supporting mission and outreach locally, in the UK and overseas. Upcoming sales are on Tuesday 22nd March and 5th April . Co ee, tea, and biscuits are always available in the Foyer too! Hythe Spiritualist Church Independent invites you to join them every Friday evening 7.30pm to 9pm at Hythe Community Centre, Brinton Lane, Hythe, for a divine service of mediumship and clairvoyance. ere is no charge for the evening, but donation accepted. No need to book, all welcome. Hythe Spiritualist Church Independent Youth Club at Cornerstone Cornerstone Youth Club runs fortnightly on Friday evenings from 7.30pm to 9pm for young people age 11-18. ere will be a variety of activities; cra s, cooking, games along with table tennis and snooker, or just chill and chat in the newly refurbished youth lounge. Youth Bible Study Group also meets fortnightly on Friday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm in the youth lounge for chat, Bible study and prayer. is is for young people ages 14-18 who wish to learn more about being a Christian through studying God’s word together, in a relaxed and fun way. THE KETTLE IS ALWAYS ON Testwood Baptist Church in Salisbury Road, Totton, hold its monthly Bereavement Café, o ering a safe space where people can talk about the pain of loss and also nd strength and courage in knowing that they are not alone. e Café is run on a ‘drop-in’ basis between the times of 1.30pm and 3pm on the second Monday of each month and is not designed to be a counselling session. Visitors to the Café will discover a warm welcome and a supportive environment for re ection and conversation; a place to nd mutual support and encouragement. e kettle is always on with tea, co ee and a variety of cakes (including a gluten- free option) served by a friendly team of volunteers. The next Café session will be on Monday 14th March . Easter Egg hunt tickets are £2.50 each to include an Easter Egg prize. Colouring competition is 50p. Age group categories of 4-8 years and 8-12 years old with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age group. To reserve a place for the Easter Egg Hunt, contact Christine Bennett via the Healthy Haven Garden Facebook page.
