All the activities come with a healthy lunch for the young people thanks to funding from Dibden Allotment Funds. During the February half-term, as well as the holiday clubs in Hythe Youth Club and Marchwood Hub, the sta were out and about doing some organised play in local parks. e Handy Trust took a group of young people for some fun at Ninja Warriors. is was an enormous success with lots of fun, physical activity and a lovely lunch. During March Hythe Youth Club ran a project with NBM Arts called HipHop Sessions. is was about DJ’ing, MC’ing and the artwork that accompanies such activities. Adventures in Nature with the National Trust’s Easter Egg Trails at Mottisfont Bring the whole family together this Easter and treat your loved ones to the excitement of an Easter egg trail with the National Trust at Mottisfont in Romsey. e Easter adventures in nature trail at Mottisfont will run 9th – 24th April , with plenty of fun and discovery for children as they spot the signs of spring, and experience nature bursting into life. From creating wild art to waddling like a duckling the trail has been designed to tickle the senses and immerse little ones in the natural world. e Easter trail will take you to various activity points around the grounds, from the walled kitchen garden and stables to the winter garden and along the river. With additional fun activities along the way - Can you hop like a bunny and waggle your tail? What spring sounds can you hear when you close your eyes? In additional you can draw the new signs of spring you spot on artists’ easels in the stables, with the opportunity to display your artwork for others to enjoy, or you can show it o at home. For younger children there’ll be a spring nature colouring in activity. Each trail will cost £3, in addition to the normal admission, including the reward of a Rainforest Alliance chocolate egg at the end of the trail! e eggs are made in the UK using cocoa responsibly sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certi ed farms. In addition to the trail at Mottisfont, e National Trusts Easter adventure nature trail is also taking place at: e Vyne, Hinton Ampner, Uppark, and Winchester City Mill. To discover your nearest National Trust Easter adventure in nature trail, visit www.nationaltrust.org. uk/Hampshire National Trust Easter Trail Easter Egg Hunt e Healthy Haven Garden at the Waterside Medical Practice, Beaulieu Road, Hythe is having an Easter Egg Hunt and Easter colouring competition on Saturday 16th April from 1pm to 4pm. Easter Egg hunt tickets are £2.50 each to include an Easter Egg prize. Colouring competition is 50p. Age group categories of 4-8 years and 8-12 years old with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age group. To reserve a place for the Easter Egg Hunt, contact Christine Bennett via the Healthy Haven Garden Facebook page Colouring sheets will be available outside the Waterside Medical Practice and at the local schools. Refreshments will be available on the day. Totton & Eling Bowls Club are hold an Easter Fayre on Saturday 9th April from 10am until 12.30pm at Crabbs Way, West Totton. Go along and enjoy Easter-themed stalls, ra e, plants, cakes, tombola, refreshments and much more. Proceeds will be split between Parkinsons UK and the bowls club. EASTER FAYRE Children and young people can enjoy a camp with a di erence in the Easter holidays - learning to y sh with Fishing Breaks on the fabulous River Test. Fishing Breaks’ y shing season starts in April o ering Day Camps for children during the Easter holidays (8-11years, 11th April , 12-15 years 12th April ). Fishing Breaks’ Nether Wallop Mill is the perfect place to experience y shing for the rst time with its clear lake that teems with trout. Under the guidance of patient and helpful instructors and with small groups of no more than 6 children, the day will involve an introduction to y shing, a fun and informative look at the ecology of the river and riverbank and even sh to take home! Smarties Parent & Toddler Group e Parent & Toddler Group, Smarties, meet every Monday morning , during term time, at St John’s Hall, Hythe. During each session the toddlers have various activities such as cra ing or baking followed by snacks and drinks. Each week they nish with singing time. e session also gives time for parents to chat and make new friends. Karate Classes for Children New Forest Martial Arts hold their Karate classes on Mondays and Tuesdays , for juniors (age 7-12) and Tots (age 3-7). e children enjoy the fun- lled programme devised by Sensei Crawford which seeks to give them exercise and some self-defence training. e Tots class meet at Applemore Scout Hut at 4.10pm and the Junior class meets in Applemore Recreation Centre at 4.30pm. Youth Bible Study Group also meets fortnightly on Friday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm in the youth lounge for chat, Bible study and prayer. is is for young people ages 14-18 who wish to learn more about being a Christian through studying God’s word together, in a relaxed and fun way.
