On Wednesday 6th April, which was also National Walking Day, Tracey Aldin, General Manager, led a team from the home on a route from Upton Bay care home, passing through stop o points including Dorset Chamber and Kings Park Care home to raise money for their residents chosen charity – Helpful Hounds Assistance Dogs. e tour started at 8am in Hamworthy and nished at 4pm at their home, Moors Manor. Whilst the team were out doing their walk, residents and sta at the home did their own walking challenge around the garden to mimic the route. e homes will be raising money for the charity, who help to change the lives of young people to enable a greater quality of life and more independence. eir just giving page is: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ moorsmanor General manager, Tracey Aldin said: “It is going to be a long and tiring day but we’re all really excited to take part and we’re hoping to raise lots of money.
