If so why not go and join the Southampton Health Service Retirement Fellowship. ey meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month at St James Waitrose Help Haven On ursday 7th April Jo from Waitrose went to the Healthy Haven Garden. She presented the volunteers with a cheque for £333 as part of their ‘Give a little love’ campaign. e volunteers are going to use the money to help fund the Open Day in July and will also buy some plants for the garden. e volunteers wish to thank Waitrose for their continued support. Easter Fun at the Haven On Saturday 16th April the Healthy Haven Garden held an Easter egg hunt. The children enjoyed looking for the colourfully decorated pebbles which Courtney Leggett had kindly donated to them. When they had found all the stones hidden in the garden they each received an Easter egg. eir parents were able to join in and a erwards they were able to enjoy tea and homemade biscuits which were made by Helen, one of their volunteers. Everyone had an enjoyable a ernoon. Methodist Church, St James Road, Southampton, SO15 5HE, 9.30am to 11am. ere are interesting talks arranged with invited speakers, plant and book sales and a Christmas bring and buy. Upcoming talks include e Trans Siberian Express to China, Historic Murders, The Wiltshire Bee Keeper and Magic behind the Scenes. e group also organises several outings throughout the year. In the program for 2022 is a river boat cruise in the Solent, a summer lunch at Foxlease in the New Forest and a trip to the Great Western Railway museum and shopping village near Swindon. e group also has an annual Christmas lunch in December. Currently they have over 80 members but more members are always welcome. e annual subscription is only £15 per person and members, who wish to, may take a partner or a friend along to join the group as well.
