Hythe Village Fete has been cancelled for the past 2 years due to the pandemic. is popular community event promises to be back bigger and better and will be a fun day for all the family. e date for this event has been moved to join in with the celebration for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. ey have very popular local band Plus One playing and hope to have more acts to entertain you. e bar will be open at the cricket club and you will be able to dine out on BBQ, Hog Roast, or Fish and Chips. With ice cream, cakes and sweets stalls you will not go hungry. ere will be many local businesses selling products, providing games and entertainment. Let’s not forget popular fete activities such as the coconut shy, bouncy castle, face painters, glitter tattoos, hook a duck and many more. e grand ra e has £200 cash as its rst prizes. You can purchase tickets on the day or beforehand at the Hythe and Dibden Cricket Club or e Lord Nelson pub. Other prizes include family tickets to Beaulieu Motor Museum, Exbury Gardens, Ninja Warrior Southampton, Boulder Shack and many more. Please go along and support the event! The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacon Lighting Evening Go and celebrate e Queen’s Platinum Jubilee at Lepe Country Park on Thursday 2nd June . To commemorate this momentous milestone, one never achieved by any other monarch, Lepe have a fun family event planned. Enjoy live music and entertainment in a relaxed atmosphere, culminating in the lighting of the beacon at 9.45pm. e Lookout will be serving hot and cold food and drinks throughout the evening. Whiteparish Village Summer Fete e Whiteparish Village Summer Fete will again be held on the Memorial Ground, adjacent to All Saints’ Church, Common Road, Whiteparish SP5 2SU on Friday 3rd June from 1pm to 4.30pm, entry is £1 per person (Under 16’s FREE). Car Boot Sale A Car Boot Sale takes place at Memorial Car Park in Totton on Sunday 5th June from 9am to 12noon (weather permitting). No booking is required. Any size car £5 and the area is hard standing. Please take your own tables. Hand sanitising stations will be in place, please try to keep your distance.
