Enjoy spectacular views of the New Forest National Park – wandering ponies, pretty villages and stunning landscapes. Hop on and o wherever you like and catch the next Tour bus, or switch between the three routes, all on the same ticket! Hear the stories of the people, places and animals of the New Forest on the audio commentary – with characters, sounds and music, bringing the view to life. Let’s make sure it thrives for another 100 years. e local Dibden Purlieu, Hythe & District Horticulture Show which has been going for over 100 years is now fully resurrected a er a brief rest. Someone to organise the tea/co ee and cake sales on the day – and receive/ organise cake donations please. is is a great fund raiser for future shows to take place. 2. Donations of plants please for plant stall sale - must be potted up and labelled. No trees or indoor plants. 3. Anyone interested in helping generally on the day. The ever-popular RNLI Great Waterside Ra Race will be held on Sunday 28th August at Hythe Marina, kindly sponsored by TMT Legal Services LLP. e entries are now open to enter in the following races: 1. Decorated Ra Race 2. Formula One Race – for fast ra s only 3. Ladies Race 4. Pub Race – pubs/clubs teams 5. Kayak Race - NEW 6. Handicap Race (a race for all ra s, which has a staggered start, so any ra could win) TV’s Dan Snow will be attending the event and presenting the prizes. Tadburn Meadows Local Nature Reserve, located in Romsey (SU367214) will be holding Non-Native Species Removal Day on Saturday 25th June , from 10am until 12noon, meet at the entrance o of Eight Acres. ey will be holding a Discovery Day on Saturday 16th July from 10am until 12noon, meet at Eight Acres. Tadburn Meadows Local Nature Reserve is hidden amongst the houses and covers almost 12 acres and provides a home for a variety of Britain’s best loved wildlife and some nationally threatened species. e site boasts a variety of habitats, from a stream more characteristic of the New Forest to wet woodland and grassland.
