To mark the end of the Alzheimer’s Society’s annual ‘Dementia Action Week’, members of Greenbuttercup CIC welcomed old and new faces to the Plaza for their ‘Jubilee Tea’. Red, white and blue bunting was made before being ra ed o for group funds. anks go to everyone who helped make such a enjoyable morning. Over the summer months, the ‘Arts & Cra s’ group will continue to meet on the rst Friday of the month in the Green Room, Plaza eatre, Romsey from 10.30am to 12.30pm. On 1st July they will be making sun-catchers to hang in the window, and on 5th August they will be printing using fruit and vegetables. No experience is necessary, and the charge of £3 per person includes all materials, instruction, and tea/co ee. e ‘Reminiscence Activity’ group also usually meets in e Green Room on the third Friday of the month. However, now that the better weather has arrived (!) they will be meeting at di erent outdoor venues. On 15th July , the group will ‘Try the Train’ - with a short trip accompanied by Mark Miller of ‘ ree Rivers’. ey will stop at HYTHE HUDDLE Hythe Huddle, the drop in support group for people living with dementia and their carers meet on the first Wednesday of each month from 2pm to 4pm at Cornerstone URC, Hythe SO45 6BR. Activities are planned throughout the year. eir next meeting is on Wednesday 6th July where they will be entertained by singer Amanda Parsons.
