Decorated Ra Race 2. Formula One Race – for fast ra s only 3. Ladies Race 4. Pub Race – pubs/clubs teams 5. Kayak Race - NEW 6. Handicap Race (a race for all ra s, which has a staggered start, so any ra could win) e kayak (or canoe) race is new to the event this year and uniquely is the only race where entrants won’t be required to build their own ra . e race is free to enter this year as they ‘test the waters’ for popularity. If you own a one or two person kayak or canoe and would like to get involved please visit the Ra Race website to complete the entry form. e main sponsor of the event this year is TMT Legal Services LLP who will also be helping out on the day. Cole’s Fun Fair will be there on the day as well as souvenir stalls, a tombola and ra e. All proceeds will go to the RNLI. e display will last from Friday 26th August RNLI Great Waterside Raft Race RNLI Great Waterside Raft Race to Monday 29th August. is display had originally been planned for the 50th Anniversary of RNLI Calshot Lifeboat Station in 2020, but was one of the many casualties of the pandemic lockdowns. It will be similar to the one held in 2016, but with a slight di erence! Many thanks to the Poppy Ladies for their continued support of the RNLI! Age Concern New Forest held their Volunteer A ernoon Tea Party on Saturday 31st July to celebrate all the great work their Volunteers do. Long service awards were presented for 3, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years. It was a long overdue party and their rst since 2019 due to the Pandemic. It was a lovely a ernoon attended by so many of their Volunteers. CEO Teresa Blakey said she was so proud of all the wonderful work their Volunteers do and could not run their services without their dedication to the Charity.
