HOME-START HAMPSHIRE NEEDS VOLUNTEERS TO HELP LOCAL FAMILIES Lyndhurst and District U3A At their monthly meeting in June Lyndhurst and District U3A heard about the history and work of the British Red Cross. From its early days in 1863 helping and relieving the su ering of those injured in times of war to the work they now do throughout much of the world. ey continue to work with people who are caught up in war, con ict, natural disasters but also disasters such as Ukraine Go along and join the Knit & Knatter group (Crochet too) at Hythe Library on alternate Tuesday a ernoons from 2pm to 4pm. £1 per session includes a hot drink. Beginners and new members always welcome. e next few meeting dates are 30th August, 13th, 27th September, 11th and 25th October. Fancy a Knit & Knatter? Wednesday of the month, not in August, in Lyndhurst Community Centre. You are welcome to go along to see if you’d like to join them.
