Page 34 • The HERALD • 25th August 2022 v GET OUT & ABOUT WITH THE HERALD v OUT & ABOUT The Woodlanders are Back! e Woodlanders artists and cra ers are so happy to be back exhibiting in Burley in September and what’s more celebrating their 30th anniversary. e Woodlanders exhibition was established by the well-known Burley artist Suzan Houching all those years ago and they are so thrilled she is still at the helm and exhibiting her unique work. ey are very excited to announce Ringwood artist Lindsey Cole who specialises in painting animals will be joining them this year. Also showing their work will be longstanding exhibitors Brenda Farrell, Daphne Ellman and Margaret Plant as well as more recent members Christine Coney, Danny Byrne, Linda Easter and Tony Clegg. is all adds up to a brilliant and diverse display of paintings with something to suit everyones eye and pocket. Ceramics has always featured in the Woodlanders exhibition and this year is no exception with Carole Dickson and Penny Stevens showing their work. ey extend a warm welcome to Lucy Bramley who is coming on board this year and bringing a rst for Woodlanders - glass! Wood has always been the skills of Paul Humphriss, Peter Hayden and Roger Plant. Exhibitors will be demonstrating throughout the exhibition so a great chance to meet the artists and have your questions answered. As if all this was not exciting enough there will also be delicious cakes and teas and co ees available. Picture Left: All Things Bright and Beautiful Oakhaven Hospice Fundraisers Lymington based Oakhaven Hospice are planning ahead for their Autumn andWinter fundraising events. If you are looking for a challenge and want to raise some funds for this wonderful charity why not sign up for one of their events. If you enjoy walking e Hospice Walk 2022 sponsored by Pennyfarthing is taking place on Saturday 17th September. You can choose the distance you would like to walk along beautiful coast paths with 3 routes to choose from: 26 miles starting at Sandbanks, 13 miles from Mudeford or 7 miles from Barton-on-Sea. All three routes nish at Oakhaven Hospice. On Sunday 20th November is e Oak 10, a stunning 10 mile trail run through the New Forest or how about a bit of festive fun with e Santa Dash a 3K dash or walk on Sunday 4th December around Lymington High Street dressed as Father Christmas! e fundraising team are also looking for local businesses to take a stall at this year’s Holly Jolly Christmas Fayre, stalls are £35 per day plus a donation to the ra e (minimum value £25). e event runs from 16th–20th November. The Ampfield Market e Market is held on the first Saturday of the month (excluding January and August) in Amp eld Village Hall (SO51 9BJ), between 10am and 12noon.
