Millbrook based social care provider for people with learning disabilities, PBS4, were recently presented two awards at the National Learning Disabilities & Autism Awards 2022. PBS4 were shortlisted for 6 awards at this year’s awards including ‘Breaking Down Barriers’, ‘ e Employer Award’, ‘Learning Disability Nurse’, ‘Social Care Covid Hero’, ‘Trainer Award’ and ‘Positive Behaviour Support’. PBS4 were awarded the ‘Breaking Down Barriers’ award, which is aimed at celebrating an individual or organisation that has worked to make sure people get clear information and are able to contribute their views and experience. e second award was issued to Carla Barker, PBS4’s Lead Trainer for the Trainer Award 2022. is award was to acknowledge the importance of trainers in ensuring that sta are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to provide really good support. ey were looking for a person who has shown incredible enthusiasm and determination in identifying and meeting the training needs of sta and an ability to enthuse and energise a team. ese awards are a real re ection of what is important to PBS4, they encompass the organisation’s culture and values completely.
