Waterside Tours recently celebrated their 40th Anniversary with an extra special excursion. Established in 1982 by Roy Barker and Denny Reynard, Hythe & Waterside Coaches Ltd began with a eet of just two coaches initially providing coaches for school runs, bingo contracts and shopping outings arranged by the Provident Loan Group. With Roy’s then 18-year old daughter, Jacqueline employed to answer the phone. Within a few years Roy bought Denny out and with Roy’s wife Pam replacing him as Director, the company grew rapidly and day trips and holidays were soon introduced. In the 90’s the company rebranded as Waterside Tours and the excursion and holiday program was properly launched. Waterside Tours is now run by Jacqueline and they continue to run day trips and excursions, holidays both in the UK and abroad and o er private coach hire, despite the setbacks the company experienced during the pandemic. To commemorate the anniversary, Waterside Tours put on a celebratory coach trip to one of their favourite excursion destinations and enjoyed a 3 hour cruise and celebration aboard the Kennet & Avon Horse Drawn Barge including a ploughman’s lunch and a glass of bubbly. e team from Waterside Tours were joined by a coach full of customers, driven by Lee Pearce, on the day with speeches from owner Jacqueline Withey, General Manager Fiona Campbell and their longest serving driver, Kevin Beckett who has been with the company for 34 years. CAMK2A causes rare gene mutations which result in severe neurodevelopmental disorders and a ects all aspects of learning. Hythe and Waterside Rotary are delighted to donate £200 and are promoting an Indian Cuisine Charity Evening which will be held on Saturday 8th October.
