To browse the shows and book tickets please visit: www.hangerfarm.co.uk Show night - Photo credit Aidan Hampson The Lord Nelson Present Cheque to HPHA Leighton O’Hara, proprietor of the Lord Nelson public house in Hythe’s High Street, recently presented a cheque for £1200 to the Hythe Pier Heritage Association (HPHA) as a sponsor of this year’s Rock the Pier event, which raised over £8500 towards the restoration of the pier and its iconic railway. Leighton presented the cheque to Anthony Smith, HPHA chairman, and Jill Gower, HPHA secretary at a brief ceremony in one of the pub bars. Jill said: “We at HPHA would like to record a big thank you to Leighton for his generous donation as a valuable sponsor of Rock the Pier 2022.” Leighton comments: “A fantastic day was had by all, bringing the community together. Sam has performed in many of the world’s most signi cant concert halls, including the Wigmore Hall in London and the Carnegie Hall in New York. He is accompanied by the local professional orchestra, the Nova Foresta Classical Players and his programme will include Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and Tchaikovsky’s 5th Symphony. e concert takes place at Beaulieu MUSIC AT BEAULIEU Abbey Church and will start at 7pm: doors open at 6.30pm.
