Opened in August by owner Joanne waites, e Store o ers a bright and spacious place to shop with community at the heart. Originally from Yorkshire Joanne and her husband moved to Black eld 5 years ago following a change of career from the Merchant Navy. Joanne was keen to open a village style shop like those found in Yorkshire and as a non-driver she is passionate about providing a place in the local community where people can access everything they need without having to travel further a eld. e Store has an extensive range of stock with duvets, bedding, throws and blankets, homeware and gi s, handbags and rucksacks, as well as children’s toys, a small selection of haberdashery, pet accessories and Wolf Tucker raw pet food in the front of the shop, as well as a large area ready to be lled with seasonal stock for Halloween and Christmas. rough to the back of e Store you will nd decorating supplies, gardening tools and accessories, lightbulbs, cleaning products, car care and camping equipment with a large alcove awaiting a new lighting section. Keen to support local artisans, e Store also stocks locally made items including cards and wax melts. With winter on the way e Store will soon be stocked with winter warmers including snuggly pyjamas and dressing gowns, hot water bottles and coal and wood for the re. If you can’t make it to e Store in person, free local delivery is available a er hours courtesy of Joanne’s husband Dave. Joanne comments: “We have been overwhelmed by the response we have had from the local community since we opened. We are here to support the local community and offer a little bit of everything, if there is something you need and we don’t have it on the shelves have a chat with me and I’ll see if I can help to source it for you.” e Store is open 7 days a week and can be found on Hampton Lane in Black eld with parking space at the front. As well as collecting milk bottle tops for Naomi House and Jacksplace, Jubilee Hall in Fawley also accept old spectacles and phones on behalf of the Rotary Club and you can also pop old batteries into their battery recycling bin.
