News from Greenbuttercup CIC’s Dementia Services Over the summer months, Greenbuttercup CIC’s Dementia Services held their Reminiscence Activity Groups at di erent locations in and around Romsey. ey were lucky enough to avoid train strikes and extreme weather, when they: visited King John’s House for a tour of the house and garden; took the train to the Mill Arms at Dunbridge for a game of skittles and lunch; and joined the residents of Abbotswood Court Care Home for a ‘Bubble Fest’. All outings were well attended and enjoyed by all. e ‘Arts & Cra s’ sessions had continued in the Green Room at the Plaza eatre as usual. ey are now back to holding regular twice-monthly activity sessions for people living with Dementia and their Relatives/Carers, on a Friday in the Green Room at the Plaza eatre from 10.30am to 12.30pm. On the rst Friday of the month, they run a fun ‘Arts & Cra s’ session. Everything needed is included, with no experience necessary. ey do not charge for the rst visit to the ‘Art & Cra ’ group, so people who are unsure about going to try them out! ey have a di erent ‘haveof £3 per person per session (carer as well), which covers all activities and tea/co ee with biscuits. If anyone is interested in joining them, or would like more information, please contact Pamela on: Pamela@ shadow26.plus.com or 01794 501605.
