If you know or care for someone who is living with Dementia, Hampshire Search and Rescue are asking you to consider the Herbert Protocol to help the emergency services locate people with Dementia if they go missing. e Herbert Protocol is a national scheme that encourages carers, family and friends to provide and put together useful information, which can then be used in the event of a vulnerable person going missing. Simply complete the questionnaire and keep it in a safe place ready to produce to the police in the event of an emergency. is vital information will help search teams to gather all the relevant information and begin searching. Recording this information ahead of time will greatly reduce stress associated with trying to recall detailed information in an emergency.
