Malcom recently turned 75 and has been barbering for 60 years this year – 38 years in e Barber Shop - and Alison has now worked at e Barber Shop for 40 years! e Barber Shop was originally opened by Mr Borwell in 1947 who ran it until John Mason bought the business in 1954. In 1969 Gerry Decarluchio took over the premises from John Mason and ran it until 1977, when Ron E emy then bought the shop. Finally the current owners Alison Campbell and Malcolm Hill bought the business from Ron in 1991 and have been running the Barber Shop ever since, along with barber Barry, and is possibly the oldest established barbers in the area.
