Having received permission from Forestry England, the route is a scenic o -road course, entirely tra c free. e start, nish line and race village are based at Roundhill and will allow easy access for runners, family and friends contributing to the friendly feel of this community event for experienced or novice runners alike. e chip-timed race will begin at 10.30am with a circuit through the surrounding forest on part of the former Oakhaven Half Marathon route. Marshals will be on hand to guide you along the way and man the three water butt stations as runners ll their collapsible cups as the Oakhaven 10 will be a cup less event for the rst time. Registration fees are £25 for non a liated runners and £23 for a liated, however it would be fantastic if extra funds could be raised for the hospice. All nishers will receive a medal sponsored by Caldwell’s Estate Agents and there are prizes for the top 3 men and 3 women supplied by Alexandra Sports. Grab your Trainers and Get Running for Oakhaven Christine Bennett, Julia Baker, Anne Carpenter and Pam Sattar from the Healthy Haven Garden all attended the BBC Make a Di erence Awards on Tuesday 20th September at Portsmouth Guildhall. Christine had been nominated in the Environmental category. They were treated to music and a delicious a ernoon cream tea. ey were hosted by Annie Pam, Christine, Julia and Anne from the Healthy Haven Garden at the Awards event Lee from Radio Solent and sat on the same table with men from the Meon Valley Men’s Repair shed. Although she did not win Christine was presented with a highly commended plaque as a runner up. An enjoyable a ernoon was had by all. Healthy Haven Make a Difference ROMSEY BEER FESTIVAL e Romsey Beer Festival organised by the Romsey, Chandler’s Ford & District Round Table is taking place on 28th and 29th October at Cros eld Hall, Romsey.
