In achieving ‘gold’, Oak Lodge have shown that they have incorporated the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child in its whole school culture. Both children and adults continue to share a focus on each of the rights and these have become the centre point of learning and are demonstrated through lessons , assemblies, focus days and displays. e pupils have played an integral part in gaining the achievement by being ambassadors for the rights of others, ensuring their voice is heard and being involved in the strategic decision making of the school. The school had to demonstrate during its accreditation visit how it continues to meet the nationally agreed standards.
