Pop along to St John’s Church in Hythe from 26th November – 13th December for e Hythe 2000 Christmas Tree Festival. On Saturday 10th December Cornerstone Church are organising a Nativity parade through the Village. Starting from the Church at 10.45am ag puppets will walk down through Hythe making a Nativity tableau outside Waitrose, where they will tell the Christmas story through Carols and readings at around 11am. e Mistletoe Fayre is taking place in Hythe on Saturday 3rd December coinciding with Small Business Saturday, a national event to promote shopping local to support small businesses. e village will be full of festive cheer from 10am – 4pm with a Christmas Market lining the streets with lots of gi s, goodies and decorations for sale, the infamous Waterside Christmas Fire Engine will be parked up for all to see, Praisin’ Hands Christmas Puppet Show will once again be providing entertainment and there will be live music around the village throughout the day. Waterside Cancer Support will also be there selling baubles for you to add names in memory of loved ones to the village Christmas tree which will be taking pride of place this year outside the Hythe Ferry. Father Christmas is due to arrive on the ferry at 2.15pm ready to take up residence in his grotto in Hythe Library from 2.30pm, children visiting Father Christmas will each receive a picture book courtesy of Hythe & Dibden Parish Council. And of course it wouldn’t be e Mistletoe Fayre without bunches of mistletoe beautifully hung around the village!
