They’ve Got Framing Down To A Fine Art Harveys of Hythe have just released their third Christmas cheese brochure, and we couldn’t resist writing about their upcoming Christmas cheese selection! Established in 2007 the local family run business prides itself on serving only the freshest produce, selling baguettes, sandwiches, panini’s, delicious warm sausage rolls along with New Forest Ice Cream and sweets. But with the help of cheese judge and International Cheese and Dairy Awards UK Ambassador, Jonathan Broom eld, they have a wonderfully stocked cheese counter ready to delight your tastebuds this festive season. Back in 2020 when the world went into lockdown Harvey’s diversi ed. Jonathan’s knowledge and expertise in the cheese world, coupled with the renowned customer service of Mum Amanda, and Sister Pippa made for an excellent pairing, adding cheese to Harvey’s repertoire. Passionate about supporting local, British cheesemakers and purveyors, Jonathan seeks out only the nest quality to stock in the shop. Holding over 45 di erent cheeses and with Christmas on the way this will be even higher! On preparing the stock for Christmas Jonathan has spent time specially selecting festive seasonal cheeses and for your convenience has put them into a brochure. Available digitally on their website or you can pop into the shop to look at a copy. Jonathan and Harveys simply love bringing the world of cheese to the high street, making local and British cheese accessible to all, he explains: “Britain produces some of the finest cheeses and accompaniments I’ve ever tasted, but to many selecting ‘new’ cheeses can be daunting. I want to make it an easy and accessible experience for all. People want to know; what it tastes like, where it’s from, what it goes with, how to cook with it and from there I can recommend cheeses they might like to try. I am also dedicated in highlighting local produce – we live in one of the most beautiful parts of the Country and the local produce is second-to-none. This Christmas we will have the classic & traditional Colston Bassett Stilton, but also add in some cheeses youmay not have tried before. One of my recommendations for a cheeseboard this year is the 2-year aged Cheddar from Dorset; It is a fantastically rich and savoury Cheddar with a moreish crystalline crunch texture, delicious!”.
