For good reason with the price of food, fuel and energy stretching all of our monthly bills. We have a new Prime Minister, installed recently and he himself has warned of the UK facing a ‘profound economic crisis’. is will mean for some people that they have no monthly disposable income which in this day and age is madness! For those of you in that position the rest of my article will be irrelevant right now but will become relevant once the crisis eases. If you do have disposable income, then this article could very well apply to you. Likewise, if you are a parent or grandparent reading this it may be worthwhile sharing with your younger family members. I have entitled this edition’s article ‘The Cost of Dying Crisis’. e Cost of Dying crisis relates to the tragic cost to your family of you the person reading this or your partner dying early and not having enough provision in place to make sure they are all looked a er nancially should you die prematurely. We all know someone that gets taken too early and thankfully had taken the trouble to ensure their mortgage would be paid o on their death. As well as had additional life cover in place to ensure at a time of great grief at least their family wouldn’t have to worry about their nancial position. BUT there are also nancial horror stories of families that did not provide life cover protection for themselves to look a er their families. If you take one thing from this article this month, PLEASE if you are in this position or are a concerned parent or grandparent PLEASE have a discussion with your young family members. Life cover is NOT EXPENSIVE please either pop in Michael Osman, Oyster Financial Planning and see us at Oyster Financial Planning in Hythe Village or whoever you use as an adviser TODAY to protect yourself and avert your families own COST OF DYING CRISIS! e Solent LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership) have launched the Creative Growth Solent programme - a combination of free themed networking events and one-to-one mentoring sessions to help support these businesses to grow, access valuable guidance and overcome challenges preventing them from moving forward. e Solent Creative Growth programme launches with a series of network and skills sessions taking place in venues across the region at: • River Recording Studios, Totton – 22nd November 2022 • Isle of Wight – Details to be con rmed - January 2023 • New Forest, supported by New Forest District Council - Details to be con rmed - March 2023 Each session will focus on a di erent aspect of the creative sector, ranging from digital technology to ne arts, from lm and photography to cra s.
