Gladys said that it was very well captured and she loved the re ection. Margaret also took silver with ‘Red Kite’. Peter Finch’s photograph ‘Contentment’, an image of a lion, took bronze and Peter was also awarded a Seal of Merit for ‘Lilac Breasted Roller’. Julie Cousen’s ‘Fungi’ took gold in the projected image category. Gladys said she loved the lighting and the way the fungi’s environment was shown. Silver went to Brian Whittaker for ‘Seabed Geology’ and bronze went to Harry Borgerson for ‘Mandarin Duck’. Two Seals of Merit were awarded to Jean Dalton for ‘Tidal Patterns’ and another ‘Mandarin Duck’ image. Roy Lambeth DPAGB, EFIAP received a Seal of Merit for ‘Hornet Hover y’. Viewfinders meets most Tuesdays at the Jubilee Hall, New Road, Timsbury and the new season, with a variety of activities, is well underway. As always, the group staged a ‘Visitor’s Choice’ competition, with the public able to register their vote for the ‘Best in Show’ exhibit. e winner was Rob Perdue of North Baddesley with his painting titled ‘Focused Feline’. Focused Feline by Rob Perdue is was an excellent chance for the public to learn more about this group of local amateur artists and their work and the organisers wish to thank all those members of the public who attended. ank you to everyone who has dropped o their old postage stamps into e Herald o ce. We’ve received an update from Tony Pond, who sorts through the stamps and takes them to auction; the last collection raised an amazing £277.50 (including gi aid) for the Guide Dogs charity. It costs Guide Dogs around £50,000 to support a guide dog from birth to retirement and they rely solely on donations so please help Tony carry on raising funds for the Guide Dogs charity by dropping o your old stamps into the yellow box in the Herald O ce, your generosity is much appreciated.
