Setting o from a very festive Alton station, the glorious steam engine and its carriages are fully adorned with colour mixing digital LED lights inside and out and on arrival passengers are each given a special LED wristband that changes colour at the press of a button. Once the train departs for Alresford station the magic really begins as the infamous ‘Voiceover guy’ from Britain’s Got Talent ‘takes control’ of the wristbands and Christmas music is played throughout the train with an amazing colour changing lightshow including the wristbands, inside and external LED lights. As the evening draws in the outside lights illuminate the trees and the trains trailing steam, creating enchanted scenes out of the windows. As well as the music there is fully immersive on board fun and games using the wristbands along the journey and each of the stations on the way are beautifully decorated with Christmas trees and strings of traditional coloured lights along the length of each Sarah, Lucy and Katie at the Watercress Line’s Steam Illuminations sweet treats and festive items – a big hit with both the adults and the children!
