Helen Odhams will join the College in May, leaving Esher Sixth Form College in Surrey, where she is currently Deputy Principal. As the designated Ofsted Lead at Esher, Helen was instrumental in securing an Ofsted grade of Outstanding during a recent inspection. She holds a BSc Honours degree in Physical Education, Sports Science and Geography from the University of Liverpool. Helen said: “Having worked in Further Education for the past 13 years, I genuinely believe that colleges offer the best opportunities for students to learn, develop and progress to the next stage. Brock is central to the wider community it serves, not only through the education it provides, but also through its links with employers. Evie was chosen from more than 200 entries and said she was so excited to see her design on the E-Transit which spearheaded Hendy Group’s Christmas campaign. Donations of long-life food were made at the Hendy Transit store in Eastleigh’s Leigh Road with all donations then heading to Eastleigh Basics Bank for distribution to the local community. e zero emission Transit clocked up hundreds of miles each week travelling between Hendy Transit Centres in Hampshire, and West Sussex collecting the donated food and taking it to the foodbanks. David Graham, Head of Retail CV Sales said the group wanted to spread some festive cheer by collecting for foodbanks and wanted to ensure the E-Transit was suitably festive. “The competition entries were amazing with some wonderful festive designs from children across the region,” said David.
