I’m walking my dog and its winter A stroll over heathland and sand Hardly a soul do I meet on this walk But today proved so different so grand Around a bend comes a lady Dressed warm for winter like me Her clothes are differing shades of red And this lady in red speaks to me She says, I’m lost cold and I’m tired And I’m unsure which way I should go I suggest follow me for coffee or tea We walk we chat and time goes Her dog and mine are now playing Whilst we walk on side by side She’s unhappily tied to another Less a rift more an open divide We enter a small village café I order us coffee and cake This lady in red is blonde she is beautiful I look twice a complete double take!
