Penguin Class school children visited residents at the Care Home in Hedge End and the children enjoyed time reading their books and singing Christmas songs with the residents. It was lovely seeing how the youngsters and residents bridged the intergenerational gap and both had so much fun together. It was especially wonderful for resident Monika Zytowieka said: “We have such a wonderful relationship with the children from our local schools and it is so very important for our residents and families to be a part of our local community. I see the joy in the children’s faces every time they visit.” Snowdrop Place is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering high-quality care across its care homes and hospitals and provides residential and dementia care.
