With the backing of the incredible Waterside community nearly 100 volunteers joined the engine. e enthusiasm and general fun that these volunteers have brought to the engine is fantastic and we want to say a very big thank you to everyone who has joined us. We are lucky to be supported by many local businesses throughout the year who o er free services and discounts. (GRS Fleet Graphics, Cobra, Holbury Hardware, Complete Security, PC Builders, Badminstons to name a few) It certainly pays to shop locally. And for the generous donations of our local and district councillors, Waterside woman, a local lady and to Paul Dibden Projects who is buying us a new alternator. But we have a couple of special thank you’s allowed us to charge the engine during the day- essential with no working alternator. Without the help and support of ExxonMobil Fawley and West Cli Hall we simply wouldn’t have been out on the road so thank you both. Our treasurer and team are looking at the distribution of funds collected, follow us on Facebook (www. facebook.com/watersidechristmasengine) for updates on where the funds are going and where you can see us out and about in 2023! Thank you to everyone in the Waterside community who have supported us this year. to pass on for the support over the festive season. We hit several technical issues this year, with the alternator and generator failing in November we were up against the clock to get on the road. A huge thank you to ExxonMobil Fawley for donating funds for us to purchase a new generator. ey also donated 3000 selection boxes for us to pass out to the children of the Waterside. Our second thank you goes to the wonderful team at West Cli Hall Residential Care Home who not only hosted the engine for us but also Some of the Waterside Christmas Fire Engine volunteers SONGS-4-U: New Venue and Day Local choir SONGS-4-U has moved venue to St Andrew’s Church, Dibden Purlieu and they now meet up every Wednesday from 1.45pm to 4pm.
