Introduction to Marine Wildlife at Lepe Get Around For £2 by Bus Passengers are being encouraged to Get Around for £2 by bus from January to March this year, with a campaign to promote the Government fare cap launched last December. The scheme will help families, commuters and other passengers save money this winter, backed by £60 million Government investment to cap single tickets at £2 from 1 January to 31 March 2023 across England, outside of London. With the average single local bus ticket costing £2.80, passengers will save almost a third of the ticket price per journey. In some rural areas a single ticket can cost over £5. e scheme seeks to get more commuters on buses and helps to reduce emissions and congestion by taking an estimated two million cars o the roads. e Government has con rmed over 130 bus operators such as National Express and Stagecoach managing routes from the north to the south of England will charge no more than £2 for their single tickets, helping passengers with travel costs for education, work and medical appointments as they face pressures from the rising cost of living. Art in Lymington e best lunches are when you eat with friends, especially when it’s a Christmas lunch at the Boathouse on Hythe Marina, with delicious food and good company - what more could you want? Mati and his fabulous team at the Boathouse did us proud and cooked up a delicious two course roast lunch, with a vegetarian option, followed by a great selection of desserts. And a er all this, to finish, scrumptious mince pies. It was so good to see so many of the Gateway guys enjoying an a ernoon of food and entertainment. The Boathouse staff had prepared and decorated the restaurant which looked very festive with Christmas tablecloths, serviettes, crackers and table decorations. We were entertained with lively music from Brent, which had everyone singing and dancing along. At one point there was a long line of people dancing the Conga around the restaurant. They even had a game of Pass the Parcel, that good classic British party game that had everyone shouting for the parcel and ripping wrapping paper o as fast as they could! It was a really fun afternoon spent with good friends, and we want to give a big shout out to Mati and the team at the Boathouse for being so attentive and making it so enjoyable for everyone.
