Members thanked Dave Lowman, Colin Peall and Richard Elliott for the 2022 season with gi tokens presented by Elijah Enkomo. Sadly Colin Peall was missing from the day through illness and was missed by all, wishing Colin a speedy recovery. Many thanks were shown to the catering sta and the MyTime sta service on the day. Much appreciation and thanks to Dave Lowman for his hard work presenting the day. Please contact Jean on: 07779 413794 or Jenny on: 07769 823754 or email: petejeanblock@btopenworld.com LOOKING FOR LADIES TO PLAY BADMINTON Monday 19th December was a special day for the Bramshott Hill Seniors. ey arranged to play eleven holes of golf followed by their Christmas Lunch, presentation of their charity cheque to the Hampshire and IOW Air Ambulance and the presentation of trophies to the winners of competitions held throughout the year. Sadly, the weather gremlins struck again and a er torrential rain over the weekend the Dibden course was closed. However not to be deterred the Seniors gathered for their Christmas Lunch. 47 members and guests sat down in the Solent Suite for a splendid three course meal, provided by the ‘MyTime Golf’ sta . Following the lunch Stuart Bulbrooke, their 2022 SeniorsCaptain, presented a cheque for themagni cent sum of £2450 to Judith Stephens, representing the Air Ambulance organisation. ere were some additional donations, making the nal sum donated £2627. is amount was collected via various functions and donations over the past year. Judith then gave a short presentation with regard to the work of the Air Ambulance. Stuart also made a presentation of the award for the Christmas Turkey. is was awarded to Nigel Trickey for the most outrageous gol ng attire over the past year. As can be seen from the photograph he deserved the title of best Christmas Turkey. Finally, a ra e took place to start the fundraising for their 2023 captain Mike Wells. Mike has chosen to support the Wessex Cancer Trust this year. e ra e and an auction of a hand-made Wooden Bowl donated by Peter Paine and a round of golf at East Horton Golf course raised £500 to give Mike a good solid start to his year. To end proceedings Stuart was presented with a gi as a thank you for all his hard work over the past year. is was presented by John Gordon, the previous year’s captain.
