Set in March 1955, in a small town thirty miles west of Kansas City, eight people are brought together Railway Club of the New Forest when a bus is delayed at Grace’s bus stop diner. While road crews work through the night to clear the snow blocked highway, the passengers and locals discover the true meaning of love and loneliness. A er a short AGM, John Goodrich will give a talk about ‘Where it All Began - Southampton to Weybridge’. Always living close to railways with plenty of variety - rst at Weybridge until 1969, and then at Southampton. John’s talk will take you on a journey from Southampton to his former home town of Weybridge over a time span covering his rst railway colour slide in April 1967 to 2021 looking at the changes in the motive power and tra c in that time. ere is a strong emphasis on the southern section between Southampton and Eastleigh which will occupy the rst half of the meeting before progressing from there to Weybridge.
