Tis an orchestra, so diverse as one could ever hear As the wind blows gently, rustling the leaves on the trees There’s a muffled crackling among the many shaped leaves Like brushes on a drum, as the wind conducts the beat. The rippling stream dances over boulders fast and fleet. The chorus of small birds as they twitter and tweet in throng A backdrop to this orchestra, with their melodic song Bees, as they work add their continuous humming sound Adding a percussion section as they buzz around. While an aria for the lark, the song thrush and wren Fill the air with perfect pitch, like a precious uncut gem. How privileged we are, when we take the time to listen I have vowed to take the time to listen, as my mission. Dance Steps from the Past by Isobel Smith© You danced into my life and tted so well I’d been there before, that was easy to tell – In some previous life, perhaps we’d been together at fragile, ne thread, there to link us forever. You danced into my life and re-kindled a ame Of years, though long past, still in memory remain You guided me through and each step was retraced To the beat of life’s drum and the future I faced. You danced into my life and revitalised me Uncertainties faded, I learned joy was free No ties, no restrictions, though this all had begun In some previous life when we two were one.
