Groups who have taken part include: Romsey Family Support Group, Romsey Young Carers, ‘Bicycle Alley’ is the name of an art installation being displayed at Romsey Rail Station for the duration of this year’s Romsey Festival (www.romseyfestival. org). ‘Transition Town Romsey’ (www. transitiontownromsey.weebly.com) have worked with a number of local community groups to decorate a range of old bicycle wheels. e wheels are Greenbuttercup Dementia Services, Romsey Gateway Club and a supported living group for adults with learning di culties. e wheels will be on display from 1st-16th July during the Festival - and hopefully for the rest of the summer. e display can be seen from the slope which goes up to Platform 1 to the rear of the station (by kind permission of the ‘ ree Rivers Community Rail Partnership’) and is free to view. e aim of the artwork is to encourage Romsey residents to consider reducing their carbon footprint by travelling by bike and/or train. Funding from e National Lottery Community Fund, distributed by Transition Together, will help them to undertake this project. anks to National Lottery players for making this possible. Recently the visitors to Lymington High Street were treated to homemade cakes, tea and co ee for just a small donation.  e co ee morning was organised by parishioners of Our Lady of Mercy and St Joseph Catholic Church in Lymington.
