Sculpture at Beaulieu runs until 24th September bringing together an astonishing variety of eye-catching and thought-provoking works by highly acclaimed sculptors, all taking their places in the atmospheric historic setting. Building on the success of the previous exhibitions in 2019 and 2021, the sculptures on show will encompass a diverse range of materials and methods, ranging from little to large, stone to steel, glass to mixed media and more. Every piece on show is for sale, with something to suit all tastes and budgets. With a line-up of more than 38 sculptors new to Beaulieu for 2023, along with returning artists showcasing new pieces, Sculpture at Beaulieu curators David Waghorne and Kate McGovern have chosen sculptors for their internationally-acclaimed work and diversity in materials With a cosy thatched tea room, rare and unusual plants and over 40 fairy doors there is something for everyone in this special place. What’s more, every time you visit you are helping us to provide support and work experience for people with learning disabilities. Our herbaceous borders begin to delight visitors with their beautiful displays and the variety of interesting trees and shrubs to see provide plenty of shady places to enjoy a quiet annual Bioblitz returns on 1st and 2nd July. If theatre is more up your street why not book tickets for ‘Ladies Day’ an outdoor theatre performance by Southampton University Players on 6th, 7th and 8th July at 7pm. Ladies Day is an exuberant comedy about four likely lasses from a Hull sh factory on a day trip to the races. For an end of term treat for the children, book tickets for ‘Tales from the Trees’ on 27th July, 11am and 2pm, brought to you by Squashbox eatre. A unique blend of puppetry, storytelling, live music and comedy where you will meet Craig, the friendly Forest Ranger and resident tree expert who becomes your guide to the tremendous world of trees. Running throughout the summer is our Artists’ Fairy Door trail, where 25 four-foot fairy doors have been decorated by talented local artists and groups for you to discover around the garden.
