Some walked to raise money for their chosen charities and good causes whilst others just wanted to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, in an area of the Beaulieu estate not normally accessible to the public. Courtesy of Lord Montagu and e Countryside Education Trust, Hythe & Waterside Rotary were able to organise a range of walks and a ‘bug hunt’ for those taking part. Hythe & District Inner Wheel provided refreshments in the Tree House at the end of the walk. e winners of the ‘bug hunt’ were Oliver Oliver Bateson Lisa Cousins John Chapple Walker enjoying the day Group of walkers Bateson (1st), Lisa Cousins (2nd), John Chapple (3rd). e mother of one of the winners said: “Despite my son being very quiet, due to his autism, he was in fact very pleased that he had won and enjoyed participating, so thank you so much, Hythe &Waterside Rotary, for making us both so welcome. We hope to be involved another time”. A Family Fun Day in support of Living A er Loss is taking place on Saturday 12th August, 2pm to 5pm at the Lighthouse Church, near Hardley Roundabout.
