You will nd them in the lovely New Forest village of Pilley, where Frances will be exhibiting her atmospheric forest paintings, prints, artist books and cards, with information on the di erent printmaking techniques on show in the studio. Julie, from Grey to Green Home, will also be bringing her gardenalia. New Forest Mohair’s range of beautiful hand-dyed mohair yarns, curly eece and needlefelting bres will also be available, along with mohair gi s. ere will be some lovely angora goats that provide the mohair eece, to say hello to. ere are many artists exhibiting a wide range of art, from painting to textiles and jewellery around the Waterside and New Forest area. FRANCES AND JULIE – VENUE 71 Palais des Vaches Art Gallery - Venue 93 INSPIRING and extraordinary work by Hampshire’s most celebrated artists will be on show at Exbury’s stunning Palais des Vaches art gallery throughout Hampshire Open Studios week. Mounted in collaboration with Lymington’s Coastal Gallery, the art show features sublime work by over 40 local creatives including Stewart Beckett, Paula Mitchell, William Pounds, Chris Whittaker, Long Ly, Kim ompson, Michael Turner, John Illsley, Jackie Giron, Chris Cudlip, Nicolas Moreton and venue owners Caroline and Nick de Rothschild. e Gallery are incredibly proud of their artists and are delighted that a number of them will be stopping to demonstrate and chat with visitors throughout the week. Palais des Vaches comprises three inter-joining rooms that wrap around a beautiful courtyard garden featuring spectacular sculptures. e Palais features a collection of works by celebrated and lesser-known local artists, sculptors and ceramicists, along with a host of fantastic sculptures both inside and out. e exhibition also includes a range of beautiful prints, books and curiosities which are on sale in the Chez Mandy Smith and Aylsa Williams invite you to visit a working studio. Both are artist printmakers and exhibit regularly in Southampton and further a eld. Mandy is a member of Zest Arts Collective and both are members of Cowprint Artist’s Group in Southampton. Both artists are inspired by nature, the landscape, changing seasons and architecture. Mandy a Fine art graduate, is well known for her range of original heritage prints of Southampton and views of boats and industrial scenes on Southampton Water as well as views of nearby Lepe. Aylsa is a biologist turned painter and printmaker and her love of nature inspire artwork in both acrylic paintings and original lino prints. Both artists have recently started teaching lino printing classes in the local area. A range of original prints (framed and unframed), cards, postcards, artist books and gi ware will be available from both artists as well as acrylic paintings by Aylsa.
