You can take along small electrical or other items too good for the tip, you can sit and help/observe with any repair and refreshments are available while you wait for a small charge. It’s also an opportunity to nd out more about the Repair Café and Men’s Shed. A er your repair is completed all they ask for is a voluntary donation towards the cost of the hall and insurance. Meetings start at 2.30pm and normally last two hours. On Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th August they will be holding Art on the Green at Milford on Sea. eir next meeting will be on Friday 8th September for a Demonstration by Jake Winkle on Watercolour Landscapes. e following meeting will be on Friday 13th October for a demonstration by Aimee Durnell on Mono Print, Watercolour and Reduction Drawing. MUSIC MAKING AND SHARING Music Making and Sharing takes place on the 3rd Saturday of the month (19th August) from 2pm to 5pm at Calmore Village Hall, Pauletts Lane, Calmore SO40 2RS. e cost is just £5 payable at the door. e group welcome and encourage you to share and listen to people’s musical enthusiasm – the instrument of their choice and the genre they like. All levels of ability welcome from professionals to beginners. Anybody can join who would like to play/sing a couple of pieces to non-judgemental fellow musicians. Perhaps you compose your own music. ey would love to hear it. eir meetings start with a brief musical warm-up and then they take turns in playing and listening to each other. ere is solo and duet or small group playing of pieces people have practiced and want others to hear. ey share their passion with perfected pieces and/or pieces in progress. eir space is open for experimentation, risk taking and appreciation. ey welcome adults, young people from age 16 years and supervised children.
