A er seeing an article in e Herald earlier this year urging local charities to apply for a prize pot of funding from Ansvar, Viv Carter, Community Engagement Manager at Honeypot House near Exbury, decided to apply. She recently found out build brighter futures and create happy childhood memories. e £15,000 is enough to support young carers aged 5-12 with the following Honeypot Wrap-round support services: • 20 x Respite Breaks for anxious young carers to have a stress busting break at the beautiful Honeypot House in the New Forest. • 20 Wellbeing Grants to support some of the most disadvantaged children in the UK, to receive essential life items no child should lack. • 20 places on a er school Swarm sessions and 2 hr holiday online activity sessions for lonely and isolated young carers. As an extra bonus, Ansvar donated £5,000 of the £15,000 via the Honeypot’s Big Give match funding, giving the Charity an additional £5,000. In March expert charity insurer Ansvar o ered Hampshire charities the chance to win a share of a £25,000 prize pot o ered as part of its Community Campaign, with the money set to be split 3 ways, £15,000 for the overall winner and £5,000 each going to two additional charities.
