Solent Rescue, the independent lifeboat based in Lepe, is a charity that is run entirely by volunteers and funding is received from donations and grants. Unfortunately, they need to replace the engines on their Arctic 24 lifeboat “Solent Rescue One” e engines, being 10 years old, have served them well, but a persistent issue with one of them has not been able to be recti ed, despite the generous e orts of local engineers and their in-house maintenance team. is has led to this boat being taken o service, and unable to attend Coastguard tasked emergencies. ey are keen to get the boat back on service ready to respond 24/7 in time for the busy summer season, and have, therefore, taken the decision to replace the engines which, as a small independent lifeboat charity, has a signi cant impact on their nances. So, to assist, the charity is turning to their loyal supporters for help. Perhaps you know of someone, or a company, that might consider giving a one-o donation or sponsorship? If so, they would be very grateful to hear from you. You can get in touch by messaging them through Facebook (Solent Rescue Lifeboat) or by emailing at info@ solent-rescue.org.uk If you would like to donate any amount, no matter how small please visit the donation page of their website: www.solent-rescue.org.uk/new-donate. Every penny counts. All funds raised will go directly towards maintaining the operational capability of their vessels, and they are always very happy to meet their supporters at their base in Lepe Country Park. ey are there every weekend.
