A large quantity of interesting and useful items were donated. e bidding was lively from the generous club members which made it an enjoyable and successful event. e club is always happy to welcome new members that are owners of any make of classic car, not forgetting those enthusiasts who appreciate them but don’t have one of their own, to go and meet the club members with a view to joining. Members have a range of classic vehicles enabling the club to include all enthusiasts. ey continue to enjoy the friendly, social atmosphere at the monthly meetings as well as the monthly cafe meet ups. Every evening meeting includes a ra e with many members leaving with a prize or two. e club holds many events throughout the year with speakers on various topics, picnics, quizzes, car meets, club drive days and an annual charity auction. The next meeting is on the 11th July with a social evening and BBQ. Why not drop in for a taster visit, a tea or coffee and share any of your classic car experiences with members? You will receive a warm welcome. Meetings take place on the second Thursday of each month, starting at 7.30pm, at Netley Marsh Community Hall, Woodlands Road, SO40 7GE. Do go along and meet them. ‘LIFE’S TOO SHORT – PUT SOME MILES ON IT’ New Forest Wildlife Year A Warm Rotary Welcome Hythe & Waterside Rotary are delighted to welcome new member, Andy Freeman, who transfers from Leatherhead Rotary where he was a member for 20 years. Andy was born and raised in Surrey where he had lived until earlier this year when he moved to Holbury, Andy looks forward to being an active Rotarian as well as taking up some new hobbies now he has retired from the NHS where he worked for 40 years in a variety of roles. He is also looking forward to more travelling with Australia on the top of his wish list. A er a formal handshake with President Elect, Terri Whitehouse, members of H&W Rotary gave Andy a very warm welcome and look forward to working (and socialising!) with him in the future. Lymington Arts Group hold meetings in the McLellan Hall at Lymington Community Centre, New Street, Lymington SO41 9BQ, on the second Friday afternoon of each month (excepting February and August).
