Fig & Fox Re-Launch Popular local brand, Fig & Fox has recently re-launched its Romsey Shop, adding rst oor shopping, a courtyard garden and cafe service. Fig & Fox is an independent business run by husband and wife team Helen and James Mitchell. e Romsey shop was originally opened in 2022, with the couple opening a second shop in Basingstoke and securing a month long residency at the Winchester Christmas Market. Fig & Fox features a collection of gi s, plants, cards and homeware, all handpicked by Helen and James. Most products come from local, independent suppliers and artists with the majority being produced in the Fig & Fox studio. Fig & Fox closed for two days at the start of July to allow for the refurbishment works to take place. e windows were covered in brown paper and teasing posters to increase the excitement! e shop re-opened on 12th July, a day before Romsey’s popular Beggars Fair event. The retail space now extends to the rst oor and features a homeware and children’s gi ing section. e rear car park was converted to ‘ e Secret Garden’ an oasis of calm in the town centre boasting seating for twenty people amongst an array of garden plants and accessories. e garden also includes the Fig & Fox vintage horse box trailer which is used to serve drinks during events. e shop counter oor window seats that allow you to sip co ee and watch over the town centre. Local co ee, tea and hot chocolate are served alongside a full menu of so drinks, smoothies and bakes straight from the Fig & Fox kitchen. e counter also includes a so serve ice cream counter from Marsh eld Farm, perfect to takeaway or relax in the garden. e new menu also features an array of alcoholic options including beer from local brewery Flacks, cider from Lilley’s and a selection of cocktails. Fig & Fox celebrated the new look with a Beggars Fair party on the 13th July. e garden was lled to the brim, featuring live music and a cocktail bar. Fig & Fox are excited to announce its next event on the 31st August with headliner Tom Martin.
