If your item is beyond repair the team will tell you the best way to dispose of it. From clocks, household electricals to umbrellas, they have seen it all. Go on down and say hello and enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake whilst you wait. e Repair Café takes place on the last Saturday of each month at Black eld Baptist Church Hall. ISLANDS OF THE WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN If you are interested in joining this friendly group please go along on the rst or third Tuesday in the month or contact the secretary at: u3a.nfwsecretary@outlook.com New Forest and Waterside U3A hold their twice monthly meetings in St Andrew’s Church Hall, Dibden Purlieu. eir next meeting is on Tuesday 3rd September, 2pm, when the talk will be about ‘Islands of the Western Mediterranean’ with Ron Taylor. Followed on Tuesday 17th September when the talk will be given by Members of the Calshot Lifeboat about ‘History of the RNLI’. Tea and biscuits are available a er the talk, and the meeting ends at approximately 3.30pm. New Forest and Waterside have many interest groups such as gardening, history, discussion, skittles and much more. ere is usually a luncheon once a month, held twice a year at Brockenhurst College. Other activities have included a visit to Hillier’s for the lights, Lepe House open garden, theatre trips, garden visits, local brewery visit, snowdrops at Welford, the Hawk Conservancy, Arundel Carpet of owers, the Waterside Heritage Centre, trips on Solent Dolphin. Car Boot Sale A Car Boot Sale is taking place at Memorial Car Park in Totton on Sundays 1st and 15th September from 9am to 12noon (weather permitting). No booking is required, sellers from 8am (for safety, sellers please do not leave before 11.30am). Any size car £5 and the area is hard standing. Please take your own tables.
