Followed on Tuesday 5th November for their AGM, to be followed by a talk. Tea and biscuits are available a er the talk, and the meeting ends at approximately 3.30pm. New Forest and Waterside have many interest groups such as gardening, history, discussion, skittles and much more. ere is usually a luncheon once a month, held twice a year at Brockenhurst College. Other activities have included a visit to Hillier’s for the lights, Lepe House open garden, theatre trips, garden visits, local brewery visit, snowdrops at Welford, the Hawk Conservancy, Arundel Carpet of owers, the Waterside Heritage Centre, trips on Solent Dolphin. ST MARY’S WORKHOUSE Totton South u3a meets on the 3rd Friday of the month at Colbury Memorial Hall, doors open 1.30pm. Those who have retired from full time employment are welcome to go along as a visitor on two occasions before joining as a member. The membership fee is currently £16 pp for the whole year (on a sliding scale until April 2025). WATERSIDE VETERANS COFFEE CLUB e Waterside Veterans Co ee Club is held on the 3rd Saturday of every month from 10am at Fawley Royal British Legion, Exbury Road, Black eld, SO45 1XD, with their next meeting scheduled for Saturday 19th October. All veterans, serving personnel, their families and dependents are invited to attend and enjoy the usually good humour, refreshments and occasional visiting guests.
